Students can use this site individually, or an entire class can work through the choices together.

Information about energy and global warming comprise the foundation of this site. Students can calculate how much energy they are using as they go about their daily routines, and translate that into the effect they are having on their own environment.

This site is designed to provide awareness of the implications of individual energy use without demanding changes a child cannot effect. For example, children can’t choose what kind of furnace they have, but they can choose to put on a sweater and not turn up the heat. The “things you can do” section offers simple suggestions achievable by most children, and some that require cooperation from parents and teachers.

After finishing the game and any additional classroom activities, the Energy Champions medal can be can be awarded to the new Energy Champions in your class!
