The power of youth shines from Margot Bingham – she is the epitome of talent in seemingly limitless forms. This 14-year-old powerhouse has written and performed a musical tribute to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Carnegie Mellon University, the Musical Celebration in North Carolina, Bates College in Maine, WZIP-FM at the University of Akron, and other sites. She volunteers for Make-A-Wish, Children's Hospital, Special Olympics and the Pittsburgh School for the Blind while still finding time to take dance lessons as she attends school. She is also the reigning National Miss Black Teen. Her role model is the late R&B star Aaliyah though she stands to be a role model for both young and old. Encouraged and supported by fabulous parents Lynne and ex-Steeler Craig Bingham, MargotB will blaze her own trail with a skies the limit approach while maintaining a very modest demeanor. |
